Philosophy
The guiding philosophy at TG3 Electronics is based on a combination of attention to people and a traditional, Midwestern work ethic. Company Founder J. Thomas Giles III explained that when he started the company in 1986, he relied on his leadership training in the U.S. Marine Corps to guide him. Over the years, this intuition has paid off.
According to Tom, “First thing you do is you take care of the people who work for you. You do everything you can to make it easy for them to do that job. Parts, components…they don’t have feelings and if they are pushed in a drawer and left there for a week, it’s okay. You can’t do that with people.”
Amy Giles, Chief Financial Officer and daughter of Tom Giles, reflected on another aspect of her father’s attitude. She asserted, “It just takes time, dedication, and believing that it will work.” That was what the family experienced, as they watched Tom Giles overcome challenges and grow the business into the successful venture it is today.
